Resort on track for an even better golfing experience

Coolum-GolfHome of the Australian PGA Championship, Palmer Coolum Resort is on track for an even better golfing experience, announcing this week a major investment in new cart paths around the world-class layout.

The resort's director of golf, Paul Crangle, said cart paths would be installed throughout the entire 18-hole network at a cost of several hundred thousand dollars.
"It will contribute significantly to the golfing experience at Palmer Coolum Resort and ensure that even in severe weather the most die-hard players have access to the course,'' Mr Crangle said.
Construction of the new paths has commenced, with completion expected in July.
Meanwhile, the resort has introduced a new range of money saving corporate and group golf rates to suit corporate team-building events to a tee. Smaller groups of between eight and 32 players can enjoy 18 holes and cart hire from $108 per person, with savings increasing with the number of players. Packages for large groups of between 97 and 128 players including 18 holes, cart hire and five $15 'nearest the pin' vouchers to spend in the pro shop, are available for $75 per person – and there is a range of other great group packages in between, including nine-hole options.
