Esperance Regional Tourism Association has changed its name to reflect a single Esperance focus
and will now been known as Tourism Esperance.
Tourism Esperance chairperson Milton Valli said that neighbouring regions such as Norseman and Ravensthorpe have their own tourism organisations that focus on their shires.
"With the SuperTown status, foreshore redevelopment and national landscapes all being important projects for Esperance, we feel that it is time to change the focus from regional to local," he said.
Mr Valli said that with projects unique to Esperance such as the Tanker Jetty replacement and the Landbank proposal, it is not only important for locals but also tourism to get involved in ensuring the best outcome for the town
