ATPM training and retaining local workers

Australian Tourist Park Management has teamed with ACE Community College to ‘train and retain’ its workforce.

The Coolangatta-based company employs 25 local people in its head office and many more in its 26 holiday parks around Australia.
Managing director Steve Billett said ATPM embarked on the staff training regime in a bid to keep ahead of a competitive tourism market.
“Our people are a big part of our competitive advantage,” he said. “We have a workforce of dedicated, hardworking people that are vital to our success in this tough industry.
“We need our people to be well-trained and highly skilled but it’s important that they also feel empowered, confident and happy in their job,” he said.
