Hong Kong based Ovolo has opened its first Australian hotel, a 43-room boutique property in Melbourne’s Central Business District. It is also the company’s first hotel outside Hong Kong.
Ovolo 19 Little Bourke Street’s guestrooms range from studio apartments to luxury penthouses with terraces, pinball machines and boxing punchbags.
General manager of business development at Ovolo, Gaurang Jhunjhnuwala said, “Our aim is to provide truly effortless living and experience our unique personalised service with all the extras included. Rated one of the best cities in the world Melbourne was an obvious choice. We hope our guests enjoy their stay so much they never want to leave! But if they must, they’ll have access to Melbourne’s unique lifestyle right outside their door.”
The company is planning a series of further openings in major Australian cities.
