Palmer acquires FNQ golf resort

Mining magnate Clive Palmer has acquired the Sea Temple Golf and Country Club at Port Douglas off the Juniper Group for about $7 million.

The deal by Mr Palmer himself (not through his company) includes 18-hole golf course designed by Thomson, Wolveridge and Perret, 45 home sites adjacent to the golf course and existing development approval for an additional 10 fairway lots.

CBRE Hotels Queensland director Wayne Bunz negotiated the deal.

John Morris developed the course in the late 1990s.
