Sydney’s tallest mooted for Parramatta

NSW’s tallest building could be built in Parramatta and the Parramatta City Council is seeking international investors and developers to build it.

Aspire is predicted to be 320m with 700 apartments and a 150-room hotel plus a public experience centre with views to Goat Island in its 88 storeys. The development would be Sydney’s tallest residential complex surpassing the state’s tallest structure, Sydney
Tower, stands at 309m. Communal atrium spaces every six storeys are part of the proposal.

Grimshaw Architects has been retained to develop the proposal.

A willing developer would help the council recoup more than $50 million it spent buying land for the three-hectare Civic Place proposal before the $1.6 billion deal with Grocon was abandoned last March.
