InterContinental Sydney has appointed German born Jörg T Böckeler as its new general manager.
Jörg has more than 27 years experience in the hotel and hospitality industries, and he was most recently employed as the general manager of InterContinental Melbourne – The Rialto.
He is very familiar with the IHG brand, having previously worked at the group’s hotels across Europe, Africa and most recently, Australia.
Jörg has also been appointed area general manager of Mulpha Hotels Australia – owners of both InterContinental Sydney and InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort.
