Luxury farmstay opens in TNQ

Crystalbrook Lodge has just opened its doors to visitors. Part of the historic 34,000ha Crystalbrook Station, it is about 220km west of Cairns.

Created by Port Bajool P/L, the high-end tourism development on the Tablelands The new Crystalbrook Lodge, about 20 minutes away from the large Queenslander homestead, is set on the banks of a stunning 120ha lake.

“We saw an opportunity to showcase this spectacular remote landscape and add an outback component to the reef and rainforest portfolio of existing luxury lodges, such as Lizard Island, Bloomfield Lodge and Silky Oaks,” said Port Bajool director John Morris, who with partner Jim Noli bought the station from cattleman Gary Hill for $2.2 million in 2011.

“There’s a clear trend of growing demand for boutique, upmarket lodges in Australia’s spectacular and remote locations and Crystalbrook certainly fits that bill.”

Crystalbrook Lodge has five luxury suites for a maximum of 10 guests, as well as indoor and outdoor entertaining areas, open bar, media room and waveless pool.
It is also fully catered-for and all meals are inclusive in the price.
