Sunshine Coast eco resort, The Narrows Escape at Montville has won partial funding from the commonwealth government to refurbish the property.
Owners of the Montville boutique B&B Mark and Joanne Skinner will match the $110,000 grant dollar for dollar.
Mark and Joanne are passionate advocates for the industry and have taken a proactive role in promoting their property and the Sunshine Coast since handing over the management of the resort to new managers Karen and Michael Cross earlier this year.
The refurbishment will include a makeover of the entire property, with new bathrooms and kitchens in the six self-contained cottages, as well as the provision of free wi-fi Internet for guests.
Externally, a new eco-themed entry statement will be added and a new interpretive trail will be constructed with signage and a track.
Narrows Escape will be closed for renovations from October 28 to November 25.
