Kirra Beach go ahead

Ridge Properties is ready to start work on the Kirra Beach Hotel after the Gold Coast City Council’s planning committee last week voted to approve the development.

The $180 million redevelopment features two high-rises blocks of 15 and 10 storeys, with 336 rooms in 147 apartments, a resort hotel, conference and events centre and retail space inside a three storey podium. It will also include a new Kirra Beach Hotel to replace the demolished original.

Developer Brian Flannery said, “Major local businesses such as Gold Coast Airport and Southern Cross University have recognised the need for short-term accommodation in this part of the city which will allow us to cater for several markets, including business tourists.”
