Port Stephens icon being refurbished

A $6 million upgrade to The Anchorage at Port Stephens on the NSW coast is underway and is expected to be finished by the end of the year.

All of the 80 guest rooms will be upgraded while The Terrace and Captains Bar will be extended to offer casual waterfront dining.

The resort will remain open during the renovations.

The Anchorage manager Kent Warren said there would be some disruption on site during the refurbishment. Most work around the accommodation areas would be painting and decorating of rooms, with some major renovations around the restaurant area.
