Heymeijer leaves Wolgan Resort – Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa general manager, Joost Heymeijer, has resigned from his position after almost nine years with the property.

Joost started with the resort in September 2005 when it was just a concept based on the Emirates-owned Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai. He was appointed to the role of project manager and tasked with building the resort from the ground up.

Joost will take up the role of senior vice president inflight catering with Emirates in Dubai, in October.

Emirates has commenced an extensive search to find a new general manager for the resort.

Scott Wilkinson appointed Daydream Island CEO – Daydream Island Resort and Spa has appointed Scott Wilkinson as chief executive officer replacing current CEO Phil Casey who has moved to a new role as owner’s representative for Daydream’s owner Vaughan Bullivant.

Mr Wilkinson joins Daydream from TFE Hotel Group where he was general manager of the Five Star Rendezvous Grand Hotel Adelaide. He has also held senior managerial roles with hotel groups Hyatt Regency, Peppers Retreats Resorts and Hotels and Rydges Hotels and Resorts.
