Palm Beach set for $136m holiday park towers

Sunland has bought the Palm Beach Mobile and Tourist Park on the Gold Coast for $18.4 million and plans to build six towers under nine storeys, with a total of 162 apartments and 86 houses.

The park will close this week and managing director Sahba Abedian said construction of the $136 million development will begin early next year. “We believe we can create a truly vibrant medium-density residential project. A site of 4.7ha gives us the opportunity to undertake a unique project.

“We plan to focus on not only enhancing the development with a new architectural language but also improve amenities for the community with integrated public spaces, including parks and retail and coffee shops.”

Sunland acquired the 4.7ha site from Robert and Daryl Pryke that have owned the Palm Beach Mobile and Tourist Park since 1973.
