Blue Mountains resort re-opens
Escarpment Group’s Parklands property in the NSW Blue Mountains re-opens today [September 15] following a full refurbishment.
Located on a 12ha heritage site that adjoins the Blue Mountains National Park in Blackheath, the refurbishment project is part of the resort’s rebranding to the Escarpment Group of luxury hotels.
The seven garden cottages each contain four guest suites that have received a total makeover with new lounge spaces, bedrooms, inbuilt gas fireplaces, carpets, new bathrooms and furnishings.
All guest rooms include complimentary mini bar, wifi and parking.
The Main House, lounge and breakfast rooms have also undergone a transformation with new, paint, furniture and fixtures such as Elk Horn chandeliers, French striped wing back arm chairs and sofas, wooden mantles and gas fireplaces with original artworks.
The day spa has four treatment rooms with facilities for both individual and couples treatments, ranging from hot stone massage to deep soaks in their luxurious new baths overlooking the extensive gardens.
The main function space, The Karawerra Room, named after the original homestead, has French doors and is filled with natural light and is adjacent to the gazebo that has floor to ceiling windows with its own fireplace and gas fire for winter weddings. Karawerra opens directly onto the outdoor terrace with English-style gardens, a water feature and outdoor fireplace. Seating is available for up to 60 people.
Parklands is the third hotel to join the Escarpment Group that includes Lilianfels Resort and Spa, Echoes Boutique Hotel and Restaurant and the soon to re-open Hydro Majestic Blue Mountains.
