Next opens in Brisbane today

The flagship brand of Singapore-based SilverNeedle Hospitality, the world’s first Next Hotels opens today [24 September] in Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall, one of the Australia’s premier shopping districts. With 304 rooms, the hotel is also one of Brisbane city’s biggest hotel redevelopment projects in recent years.

Next Hotels in Brisbane is the next hotel destination for guests who are tired of being asked ‘did you consume anything from the mini-bar?’ or frustrated when free Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby. At Next Hotels Brisbane, free wi-fi is available throughout the entire hotel and for an unlimited number of personal devices. As for the mini-bar, guests have the choice of four free items daily from a great range of premium refreshments. Under our “We Trust You” policy, we won’t ask if they’ve consumed anything beyond the free items.

“When we created the Next Hotels brand, we seized the opportunity to redefine the industry’s service standards with the sole aim of empowering our guests,” said Iqbal Jumabhoy, managing director and group CEO of SilverNeedle Hospitality. “Returning to the basics of providing good service, we considered very carefully the various ways that will make business life easier, and even enjoyable, for our guests

“We guarantee that if you arrive earlier than the usual check-in time of 3pm, you can check into your room straightaway if your room is available. Otherwise, head to The Club Lounge, open 24 hours a day to all hotel guests at no extra charge, to enjoy the facilities. These include an outdoor pool and an adjoining terrace bar, a 24-hour gym and business centre. The specially designed InTransit Zone offers Shower Pods for you to freshen up and the city’s only Sleep Pods to provide you with the much-needed rest after a long flight.

“Technology is paramount, with Next Hotels Brisbane being the first hotel in Australia to use the mobile key when it opens on 24 September. Guests can use their mobile phones to check in and out of the hotel, unlock the room door, control the room temperature, lights and entertainment channels – even when they are outside the room. Ordering cocktails by the pool and selecting room service prior to arriving at the hotel is a cinch with Next technology. To make all of this possible, download the Next App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to your mobile phone. The Next App allows you total freedom to control as much or as little as you want. Before you arrive, utilise our express check in service.”

Another first in Australia, every room will have a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone for complimentary use throughout a guest’s stay.
