A new multi-million dollar 760m² conference centre at Sea World Resort has been begun construction on the Gold Coast last week in a bid to capture a big part of the $276 million the conference and events business. The centre is due to open in 2015.
The resort is aiming to take a large slice of the $276 million the conference and events business contributes to the Gold Coast with the launch of the new 760sq m centre, which is due to open in 2015.
The new centre being built on the northern side of the resort will be capable of catering for 1000 delegates.
Village Roadshow events sales manager Caroline Duveau-Clayton said Sea World could offer a conference experience with a difference, thanks to its theme park sister properties Movie World and Sea World. “Delegates can discover a world of difference at Sea World Resort; we can facilitate amazing events such as dinner with the stars at Warner Brothers Movie World and breakfast with the dolphins at Sea World.”
The new conference centre will bring Sea World Resort’s total conference space to 2000m².
