View unveils refurbishment of Riverview – what a view!
The Brisbane Riverview Hotel has relaunched following an $6 million dollar refurbishment.
Completion sees the stylish renovation of all 90 spacious guest rooms in addition to public spaces including Plates restaurant and Chesters Bar. The new look and feel provides an alternative to the everyday offering, elevating Riverview to Brisbane’s most premium boutique hotel. The relaunch also sees the celebration of a new brand identity for View Hotels, with the remainder of the properties undergoing similar transformation throughout the rest of the year.
Riverview Hotel offers unmatched views from the banks of the Brisbane River, immersed within the affluent Hamilton neighbourhood. With a 15 minute cab ride away from the airport and the city centre in addition to a short stroll to trendy Fortitude Valley and its bustling shops and restaurants; the hotel provides the perfect urban sanctuary for leisure and business travellers.
The new look and feel for the hotel was accomplished by a collection of inspiring creative consultants from Sydney and Brisbane. Deuce Design undertook the overall rebranding for the hotel group, ensuring a bold and sophisticated appearance and colour palette was incorporated in everything from the room amenities to the new staff uniforms. Interior designer Wendy Lynch (Wendy Lynch Interior Design) worked on the hotels’ concept and styling, incorporating plush contemporary furnishings and textures by Utopia Goods. Wendy is an avid collector, sourcing interesting and unique objects from markets, antique stores and thrift shops to create a collected vintage feel.
Key features throughout the hotel include quirky and eye catching contemporary photographs aligning the hallways and public areas, curated by celebrated New York-based gallery owner, Suzanne Geiss. Suzanne also curated and selected a unique range of artbooks for the library in the café area.This level of attention to detail resounds in a rich, comfortable sense of luxury with playful finishes that surprise and delight any guest.
View Hotels’ renewed focus is on embracing each city’s unique offerings, from food, wine and coffee culture to entertainment and outdoor experiences. The dedicated front of house team ensure the hotel is a home away from home, and are on hand to provide a local authority with an insider’s perspective. Dining and entertaining options include the elegant Plates restaurant, with a menu comissioned by executive chef Chris Jackson using the best sesasonal and local produce. The Riverview Hotel also unveils a new-look Chesters bar, which with its laid back, New York feel; making it a great place to unwind with a quiet drink in hand or for a casual meeting
