Watermark to refurbish on Gold Coast
The Watermark Hotel & Spa on the Gold Coast will be refurbished over the summer with a multimillion dollar injection, the largest since its launch in 1996.
On street level, a beautiful architecturally inspired precinct is set to make its mark on the Gold Coast landscape, setting a contemporary precedent in both hotel design innovation and dining experience.
Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast CEO, Max Takamizawa, sees the investment as a positive step not only for the hotel but also for Surfers Paradise businesses, the community and its visitors. “With the new light rail station on our doorstep, we saw this as a great catalyst to breathe fresh life into the property – this is why we are opening up the eastern side of the building to Surfers Paradise Boulevard, with exciting dining and entertainment venues; a seamless al fresco interaction between our guests, fellow visitors and locals. New hotel rooms will also complement our new street look,” said Mr Takamizawa.
