Capital’s latest in Canberra opens

Canberra’s newest five-star hotel, The Avenue Hotel, in Braddon is now fully operational after enjoying its first guests from early this month.

The eight-storey Avenue Hotel was developed by Capital Hotel Group and adds to the chain’s Aria Hotel Canberra, Pavilion on Northbourne and Clifton Suites on Northbourne.

Capital’s general manager Jackie Mckeown said The Avenue Hotel’s difference is in the luxury. “Each of our properties offers something that’s unique – the Pavilion offers the lovely atrium setting, the Clifton is massive apartments,” she said. “The difference is the luxury, the style and the elegance that we’ve put into the rooms.”

The Avenue Hotel has a total of 213 rooms including apartments and spa suites and all feature a balcony. Facilities include signature Bliss beds, Nespresso machines, rainfall shower heads, Bluetooth speaker systems and amenities by Peter Morrissey.

One of the impressive features of the building is its 250 below-ground carparks.

The hotel’s European steakhouse, Marble and Grain, has also opened its doors.
