Go ahead for 92-storey Melbourne complex

Project manager PDS Group has announced that one of Melbourne’s largest residential buildings has been given the green light to proceed. The tower by Malaysian developer UEM Sunrise, known as 224–252 La Trobe St Melbourne, has been renamed Aurora Melbourne Central.

Designed by Elenberg Fraser, Aurora Melbourne Central will be built on a 3197m² site in the CBD east end. It will have 941 residential apartments and 208 serviced apartments within the 92 level structure while podium levels will house a minimum of 300 car parking spaces and 781 bike spaces plus some commercial office space.

Meanwhile Melbourne developer BPM Construction & Development Group has submitted plans for a 20 storey residential development located at 358 Wickham Street. With 332 apartments, the development has also been designed by Elenberg Fraser .
