Go ahead for racecourse resort
The world famous home straight at Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse will have a resort in 2019 after the Planning Assessment Commission gave approval.
The 170-room hotel and entertainment facility by the Australian Turf Club would have conference areas, swimming pool, restaurant, underground car parking and a trackside bar and terrace.
The 170 serviced apartments in the eight-storey hotel would be managed by the Adina Group.
ATC chief executive Darren Pearce said the club planned for the facility to be open by 2019.
