DoubleTree pulls into Melbourne
M&L Hospitality has announced its first partnership with Hilton Worldwide in Australia with the launch of the new DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne – Flinders Street. The 180 room hotel – previously the Citigate Melbourne – is centrally located close to Melbourne’s iconic Flinders Street Station and the CBD.

M&L Hospitality initiated a multi-million dollar refurbishment lead by Melbourne-based Melissa Chen of interior design firm Mill Interiors and Michael McCann of interior design firm Dreamtime Australia Design. M&L Hospitality encouraged the incorporation of unique artisan details and custom-made features.
The aesthetics of the hotel reflect the vibrant hub of creativity that Melbourne is renowned for, with design elements inspired by nearby Flinders Street Station. The lobby, restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and bedrooms have all had a complete redesign to feel uniquely Melbourne and enhance the guest experience.
DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne – Flinders Street is M&L Hospitality’s third Hilton investors group property having acquired Hilton Nagoya in Japan and Hilton Auckland in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
Guest amenities include a 24-hour Business and Fitness Centres, a bespoke food and beverage offering, complimentary high-speed internet in public areas and an industry-recognised service culture which is built around the idea of CARE, or ‘Create A Rewarding Experience’ for guests.
