Karma to develop resort on Rottnest Island
Karma Royal Group signs agreement to develop new resort on Rottnest Island in WA.
John Spence, founder and chairman of Karma Royal Group has signed the landmark heads of agreement with the WA state government and Rottnest Island Authority to develop a new $20 million Karma Resort on the island.

The resort will be open to all visitors on Rottnest Island and will include including 80 new accommodation units, Beach Club licensed bar and restaurant/café and beverage venue swimming pool and amenities day spa and treatment rooms and facilities kids club gym and personal training facilities retail outlet/gift shop conference and meeting rooms and facilities.
As part of the deal the former Aboriginal jail, known as the Quod, will no longer be used as holiday accommodation.
Building work is due to start next year and should be completed by the summer of 2018. The current Lodge will operate as normal while the new lodge is being built.
