Radisson Melbourne gets exterior makeover
Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens Melbourne’s tired creamy-yellow exterior has been given an electrolyte blast of white paint, the hotel’s general manager Steve Finlayson said.
“The outside now complements recent lobby and room upgrades,” he said. “So, we’re in very good shape, in terms of both our appearance and operational fitness to improve further on our very good performance last year.”
The upscale 184-room boutique hotel’s interior refurbishment focussed on new glass panels in the lobby, rooms, bathrooms and lifts, as part of what Mr Finlayson dubbed as his “Refurbishment by Evolution” program in which works, undertaken at night, do not intrude on guest comforts, privacy or convenience nor interrupt hotel operations and services.
The Refurbishment by Evolution program does not engage with the traditional upgrade routine whereby rooms and entire floors are closed for some time as they are totally stripped, refurnished and re-equipped.
