Another high rise for Budds Beach on GC
Developer Laura Gnibus is seeking Gold Coast City Council approval for a 211-apartment, 45-storey tower for a $3.2 million four-title site at Budds Beach she has owned for 12 years.
Ms Gnibus is seeking approval for the tower as trustee for the Acazia Trust.
The complex has been designed by BDA Architecture and will have three basement levels, parking for 175 cars, 27 motorcycles and 95 cycles. The tower will have one, two and three-bedroom apartments and will be capped by a two-level, four-bedroom penthouse. The two levels above a first-floor podium level will house recreation space.
Sydney entrepreneur William O’Dwyer is to build a six tower, 2000 apartment resort on the Paradise Resort site at Budds Beach as outlined in accomnews last week.
Meanwhile developer Mark Howard has announced plans for a 28-storey complex at Broadbeach on a 1597m² site on the corner of the Gold Coast Highway and Mermaid Ave. One of the three buildings to be demolished for the project is the Tropicana Motel.
Hotel-style apartments will be in a four-level podium, with owner-occupiers to be created in the tower.
An unrelated 28-storey development by Rentgrove and Bracken River is to be built on a site directly opposite containing two and three-bedroom units and twin two-level, five-bedroom penthouses on the 27th and 28th floors.
