AccorHotels in Sydney Olympic Park hosted some of the world’s best sporting teams over the weekend including the New Zealand All Blacks and Silver Ferns, the England and South African netball teams as well as the Essendon Bombers all staying in house.
Simon McGrath, Chief Operating Officer of AccorHotels Pacific said it was a thrilling weekend for staff and guests.
“AccorHotels prides itself on being a world leader in the standard of service provided to elite sporting teams and ensuring everything is done to guarantee sporting excellence on and off the field.
“The Silver Ferns and the England netball teams topped their pool winning every game last week while staying at Pullman and Novotel Olympic Park and we look forward to watching how they go for the remainder of the week.
“Nowhere before have more elite athletes across sporting codes stayed in the one complex at the same time which is a huge achievement. Having a strong events calendar is so important for our hotels and gives a major boost the broader economy, and we would like to congratulate the NSW State Government and Destination NSW on continuing to bring in major sporting events to the state.”
