Relax a while, Noosa style

Stunning Noosa is the smart Sunshine Coast resort town that possesses a stunning and unique natural landscape with translucent beaches, a relaxed river, serene lakes and tropical rainforests.

Noosa’s world famous Hasting St is where both glamorous fashionistas and laid back surfy types rub shoulders as they stroll along this cool beachside avenue lined with designer boutiques, classy restaurants and trendy coffee shops.

Noosa Sound Resort enjoys a prime central position in the heart of Noosaville, just minutes from both the cosmopolitan Hastings St and the beautiful Noosa River foreshore. This lovely resort offers a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere in its delightful and well equipped two-storey air conditioned townhouse accommodation.

Each townhouse has two airy bedrooms upstairs and an open living area downstairs with a spacious, lounge/dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The resort boasts two swimming pools (one solar heated), a full sized tennis court and parklike grounds for guests to enjoy.

The resort was built in 1989, when Noosa was just a charming little beach shack strip and Noosa Sound Resort has seen it develop into the world renowned but still charming resort town that it has become. The well built and beautifully maintained townhouses at the resort are all privately owned and in recent years have undergone interior refurbishment by the owners.

Refurbishment of the resort has also included a recent resurfacing, with the latest artificial turf, of the full-sized tennis court and, in June this year, the resort underwent a complete external repaint to give it a fresher look and feel.
Denise Price, resort operations manager for Classic Holidays that owns the management rights at Noosa Sound Resort, notes that the recent renovations have been positively noticed by their guests. “Some of our guests have been staying with us for many years,” she says, “and have particularly loved seeing the resort in a new light.”

The management rights to Noosa Sound Resort was purchased by Classic Holidays in March 2013 and Denise says, “We have a small dedicated team working on site.” This guest focused team includes Sue Grady who is the manager and is the heart of the resort having been there for some 20 years in various roles. Sue is well recognised and appreciated by the guests and, for the past 15 months, has taken on this full time role. -Sue says, “Since taking on the full time on-site management for Classic Holidays it has afforded me the opportunity to work closely with our guests. It is not difficult working in this industry, at this resort and in a town like Noosa, means meeting wonderful people from all walks of life and backgrounds who simply want to enjoy a relaxing holiday lifestyle.”

Deb Sharp is the head of housekeeping and she has been working hard to keep the resort clean and well maintained for the past 12 years. The “newcomer” to the team at Noosa Sound Resort is, Roman Bilous who does a great job of maintaining the resort and its grounds, he has been at the resort for five years. This is “a people friendly resort,” Sue says. “It is a wonderful place to work and we enjoy catering to our guest’s needs and sharing our enthusiasm for the area.”

Classic Holidays was established in 1978 and, according to Denise, “Classic Holidays has been making holidays happen for more than 35 years, with a deep knowledge of the skills, progress and customer focus needed to continually exceed the expectations of members and guests.”

Classic Holidays is now the largest privately owned timeshare management company in Australia and New Zealand and manages 15 resorts in popular holiday destinations around the country, such as the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Coral Coast, NSW Mid North Coast, Victoria’s High Country and the Murray Region. It has recently acquired 13 resorts in New Zealand located on the North and South Islands.

The global timeshare industry’s Best Management Company award was given to Classic Holidays for three years running (2012, 2013 and 2014) at the Perspective Magazine Awards. This was, “recognising our commitment to providing a consistently high level of service and standards for our guests” according to Denise.

Visitors flock to Noosa and indeed to Noosa Sound Resort to experience the Noosa lifestyle. The motto at Noosa Sound Resort is Relax a while – Noosa style and they say that their goal is to ensure that all our guests feel at home and welcome, and go home relaxed and refreshed. “We aim to remain approachable and friendly, maintaining a very high level of customer service to meet the needs of all our guests.”

Feedback from their TripAdvisor guest reviews certainly confirm that they do attain to their motto. One review states, “Our booking was smooth and staff were efficient and friendly. As a family arriving late with a baby, we were warmly greeted by Sue who rushed out to see us after hours. She had already set up the porta-cot in our room and provided really nice baby linen with extra padding. There were so many nice touches to our spacious and tastefully decorated town house.”
Other reviews call it, “value for money” and “a gem”.

Sue enjoys her job and values the time she spends with her guests. She says, “Managing a resort such as ours affords you the opportunity to meet new people from very diverse backgrounds as well as catching up with return guests some of whom have been coming for many years, escaping the cold of the southern states and New Zealand.”

Managing such an established Noosa resort means that familiar guests tend to return year after year. Sue adds, “In fact some families are returning third generation guests, this being testament to everything we have always and will continue to provide at the resort.”

For any hotel or resort customer service should always be their top priority and at Noosa Sound resort it is. Sue says, “We feel that the greatest achievement in working in this industry is first and foremost, outstanding customer service. Equally important is being informed and confident about our product and our area.”

Sue has been in the industry for many years and her insightful advice to others new to the industry is, to always be delighted to provide guests with more to complement their stay. At Noosa Sound Resort Sue always delights her guests by recommending things to see and do, great places to dine and all that the spectacular Noosa region has to offer. She says, “Whether we have first-time guests staying with us, or return visitors, we always aim to share a new insight about Noosa, as we enjoy being part of the growing and close-knit community here.”

The location of this splendid resort sells itself and its townhouses offer comfortable accommodation and incredible value for money but it seems that it is the consistent customer service that sets this resort apart. Combining the skills and knowledge of Classic Holidays with Sue and her great team at Noosa Sound Resort effectively ensures that their guests Relax a while – Noosa style.
