Mantra Group has secured the leasehold for a new Mantra branded full-service hotel, in Canberra city.
An existing 10 level office tower, located on the corner of Northbourne and McCarthur Avenues in the inner city suburb of Turner, will be converted into a 176 room hotel, as part of a new master planned mixed-use precinct.
136 hotel rooms plus 40 suites will be spread across 8 accommodation levels, with 16 of the studio apartments connecting to a hotel room to offer a convenient two bedroom configuration.
“The key appeal of this acquisition is the opportunity to gain a high quality new foothold in an Australian capital city market, where Mantra Group currently only operates 300 rooms, across its existing three properties in market,” said the firm.
