The RMS property management system is now integrated with STR, eliminating the fiddly and time-consuming process of hotel staff manually entering data each day, allowing them to be more productive.
“We already had a lot of RMS properties contributing to STR so this collaboration is a win for all – with the integration there is now a seamless provision of data,” said Matthew Burke, Regional Manager – Pacific at STR.
Burke said he hoped the agreement would boost the number of RMS properties working with STR, which uses aggregated industry data to benchmark hotel performance across rates, occupancy and RevPAR around the world.
“We are thrilled for RMS to be a leading integration partner in the rollout of STR’s forward-looking benchmarking solution, Forward STAR,” said Burke.
The benefit for contributing hotels is that STR provides them with historic and forward-looking benchmarking data for their market at no cost. Fees apply for more granular data such as localised “competitor sets”.
Peter Ferris, Global Head of Sales and Marketing at RMS, said the partnership is great news for hotels using the RMS property management system.
“It will save our hotels a lot of time and crucially gives those who contribute access to high-quality industry data that will enable them to make better informed decisions,” Ferris said.
The RMS property management system is now used by 6100 properties in 43 countries. STR works with 6,000 properties across 180 countries with 8.9 million rooms on the platform.
