Grand Millennium Auckland celebrates Qualmark 5-Star Rating and Gold Sustainability Award

Grand Millennium Auckland has been awarded the prestigious Qualmark 5-star rating along with a Qualmark Gold Sustainability Award, cementing its place among New Zealand’s leading accommodation providers.

The recognition follows a transformative $30-million refurbishment program spanning the hotel’s restaurants, bars, conference and events spaces, guest rooms, and suites. Alongside the 5-star accolade, the Gold Sustainability Award highlights the hotel’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable tourism practices.

Guests will soon see the full results of the extensive upgrades, with the new front façade, public areas, Estelle’s Bar, and additional guestrooms completed ahead of an official showcase in early 2026.

The Qualmark process assessed the hotel across guest services, facilities, food and beverage, sustainability practices, staff development, and overall customer experience. Only a select number of accommodation providers across New Zealand achieve Gold Sustainability status.
