Radisson Hotel Group unveils senior leadership team for Radisson RED Auckland

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the full senior management lineup for Radisson RED Auckland, as the brand prepares to debut its first property in Australasia.

Leading the launch is General Manager Reinout Engel, who brings more than 20 years of global hospitality experience and 13 years with Radisson Hotel Group.

Engel has successfully steered two previous pre-opening teams and has extensive expertise in managing leased properties, blending operational skill with strategic leadership. He will spearhead the hotel’s opening in the heart of Auckland’s art precinct, shaping the bold, playful personality the Radisson RED brand is known for.

Supporting Engel is a newly appointed Sales & Marketing team:

• Vidhya Raithatha – Director of Marketing
  
  With more than 13 years’ experience in hospitality and travel, including leadership roles in luxury hotels in Portugal and a decade influencing New Zealand’s high-end hotel sector, Raithatha brings deep marketing and pre-opening expertise to the RED launch.

• Aish Rangarajan – Director of Sales
  
  Rangarajan joins with extensive experience in travel, tourism and hotel sales across New Zealand, backed by a strong track record in revenue growth, market development and relationship-building.

The wider senior leadership team is now complete, bringing a combined depth of experience from across the hotel and travel industries:

• Nileshni Chand – Financial Controller
  
  With more than 22 years in hotel finance across Fiji, New Zealand and Australia, Chand delivers strong financial leadership and strategic oversight.

• Parijata Moeava – People & Culture Manager
  
  Moeava brings 13 years of hospitality experience, including four years with Radisson Hotel Group in Fiji specialising in People & Culture and training, reinforcing the hotel’s focus on talent development and workplace culture.

• Asanka Fernando – Rooms Division Manager
  
  Fernando offers more than 25 years of operational expertise in Sri Lanka, along with experience within Radisson Hotel Group, making him integral to establishing the hotel’s service standards.

With its senior team now assembled, Radisson RED Auckland is entering the final stages of preparation ahead of its opening. The new hotel promises to bring bold design, creative social spaces and a vibrant guest experience to Auckland, marking a significant milestone for the brand in the region.
