Comfort Resort Leura Gardens to launch under Choice Hotels in 2026
Choice Hotels Asia-Pac has partnered with Schwartz Family Company and Trilogy Hotels to rebrand Leura Gardens Resort as Comfort Resort Leura Gardens from February 2026.
Choice Hotels Asia-Pac has partnered with Schwartz Family Company and Trilogy Hotels to rebrand Leura Gardens Resort as Comfort Resort Leura Gardens, effective February 2, 2026.
The resort will operate under the globally recognised Comfort Resorts brand through a multi-year franchise agreement extending to 2034. Trilogy Hotels will continue to manage the property, marking its first collaboration with Choice Hotels.
Located just minutes from the village of Leura and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park, and less than two hours from Sydney, the resort will cater to leisure travellers, corporate retreats, conferences, weddings and events.

Comfort Resort Leura Gardens currently operates 92 rooms and is set for significant expansion with approximately 100 new rooms to be added throughout 2026. The property is also undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment program, including upgrades to its solar-heated swimming pool, enhanced guest facilities and a major redesign of The Olive Tree restaurant.
A distinctive feature of the resort is its historic gardens, created in the 1920s by Lady Mabel Fairfax and renowned gardener Hector Hood, which continue to shape the guest experience today.

The expansion follows the Schwartz Family Company’s recent acquisition of the adjacent Blue Mountains International Hospitality School site, which will be reconfigured alongside the addition of Hotel Etico, Australia’s first social enterprise hotel providing hospitality training for people with disabilities.
Trilogy Hotels Chief Executive Officer Scott Boyes said the collaboration created strong momentum for the resort’s next chapter.
“The combination of Trilogy’s operational expertise with Choice Hotels’ global reach and loyalty network, supported by Jerry Schwartz’s strategic vision and investment, creates a compelling proposition for guests and stakeholders alike,” Mr Boyes said.
Schwartz Family Company principal Jerry Schwartz said the Comfort brand was ideally positioned for the property.
“Our decision to partner with Choice Hotels for Comfort Resort Leura Gardens reflects the brand’s strong position in the mid-scale resort segment and its proven performance in regional markets,” Mr Schwartz said.
“We are confident the globally recognised Comfort brand, combined with Choice’s distribution reach and Trilogy’s operational expertise, will unlock significant value for the property while enhancing the experience for guests and the local community.”
Choice Hotels Asia-Pacific Chief Executive Officer Trent Fraser said the partnership marked an important step for the group in New South Wales.
“We are thrilled to further our relationship with Jerry Schwartz and the Schwartz Family Company through Comfort Resort Leura Gardens. This also represents our first collaboration with Trilogy Hotels, whose independent management model and focus on operational excellence align strongly with our mission,” Mr Fraser said.
The resort features an on-site restaurant, fitness room, guest lounge and solar-heated swimming pool, with convenient access to the Blue Mountains, local wineries and adventure tourism experiences. It also benefits from an established partnership with the adjacent golf course, also owned by the Schwartz Family Company.

Existing team members at the resort will gain access to Choice Hotels’ global training platforms and career development programs, while the continued management by Trilogy Hotels will ensure operational consistency as the next phase of growth unfolds.
