Te Awa Suites Opens on Hamilton’s Motel Mile
City's motel mile gains new player with Te Awa Suites, the second offering from Hamilton-based Pragma Hospitality Group
Hamilton-based Pragma Hospitality Group has officially opened Te Awa Suites, a fully transformed apartment-style property at 272 Ulster Street, Hamilton.
The launch marks a significant investment in one of Hamilton’s most established accommodation corridors, restoring a well-known site on the city’s motel mile to a standard that reflects the growth and ambition of modern Hamilton.

Te Awa Suites has been completely redeveloped, delivering 21 premium studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments (including two accessible rooms) designed for families, groups, and extended-stay business travellers.
Rooms feature a kitchenette, dining area, work desk, washer and dryer, coffee machine and smart TVs with Netflix and YouTube streaming. Free unlimited wifi and secure on-site parking are included, and a continental breakfast can be arranged for in-room delivery.

Te Awa Suites follows Pragma Hospitality’s launch of the Hamilton Motel in October 2025, located next to FMG Stadium Waikato.
The group now operates two properties in the city, with plans for a further four openings across New Zealand in the coming years, spanning both redevelopments and new builds.
