Perth Development Gets Underway
The Western Australian government has appointed project management company Appian Group to oversee the Perth Waterfront redevelopment.
Planning minister John Day said the Appian Group had the relevant experience in major developments in Western Australia to deliver key outcomes for the project.
“Planning is proceeding at full pace in preparation for commencement of substantial earthworks on the site due to start early next year,” he said. The Perth Waterfront brings to the market major opportunities for investors in the business and tourism markets and the exposure it will receive at ANZPHIC will help to attract significant investment opportunities into Western Australia.
The project will provide for 1700 residential, hotels and serviced apartments, 150,000 metres square of office space and 39,000 metres square of retail space and will be key in triggering short-stay accommodation development in Perth to cater for this growth.
