Damien’s Challenge – Cycling 1600km
Well known management rights finance identity Damien Windle of PCS Finance Brisbane will be cycling with his team, from Brisbane to Townsville in September to raise money for the Mater Foundation and cancer research.

The Bottlemart Smiddy Challenge enters its sixth year in 2011, challenging 50 cyclists to a gruelling 1600km journey across Queensland from Brisbane to Townsville in only eight days.
The event is held memory of Adam Smiddy, who passed away to an aggressive cancer aged 26. Smiling for Smiddy delivers unique challenge events which engage individuals and communities to raise funds for cancer research. More than $1.7 million has been raised since 2006.
The major beneficiary is Mater Foundation where funds support research into melanoma and prostate cancer as well as complementary therapies for cancer patients. Funds are also distributed to PA Research Foundation, Melanoma Patients Australia and Livestrong Cancer Research Centre at Flinders Medical Centre Foundation, SA.
