Newcastle Hotel for Sale

Newcastle’s Queens Wharf Brewery has been put up for sale.

Listing of the well-known two-storey building on Newcastle’s harbour front is being handled by CB Richard Ellis’ Joel Fisher and Daniel Dragicevich in conjunction with Mike Wheatley of Knight Frank.

While the vendor had instructed the property to be sold, a joint venture would also be welcomed from passive investors interested in a solid performing asset,” said Mr Fisher.

The hotel includes a ground and first floor bar, an a la carte restaurant, a gaming lounge with 15 poker machine entitlements, TAB facilities and a license for the adjoining Wharf area.

“The favourable lease terms and notable location are anticipated to excite the market and as such we predict it will be highly sought after,” Mr Dragicevich said. “The Queens Wharf Brewery hotel offers the potential for an incoming purchaser to continue improving the operations of the venue.”

The current owner of the Queens Wharf Brewery is Michael Hogg who took over the venue following an $8m deal in 2008.
