Skycity sets up new Board

Skycity Entertainment Group chairman, Rod McGeoch, has announced the company’s succession plan for the chairman of the board and also the appointment, effective immediately, of a deputy chairman.

Rod advised at last years annual meeting that he would be retiring from his role as chairman and as a director at the 2012 annual meeting.

Skycity board has unanimously decided to select Chris Moller as the next chairman, subject to his re-election by shareholders at the 2011 annual meeting. It has also unanimously appointed Adelaide based, Bruce Carter to the role of deputy chairman, effective immediately.

Chris was appointed to Skycity board in 2008 and he is the chairman of Meridian Energy, NZ Transport Agency and New Zealand Cricket. Chris is also a director of Westpac New Zealand, Rugby New Zealand 2011 Limited and the International Cricket Council.

Bruce, based in Adelaide was appointed to the Skycity board in 2010. He is a partner of Ferrier Hodgson in Adelaide and chairman of the Territory Insurance Office (Northern Territory).
