Townsville Hotel Going Adult
The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation has confirmed an application for an ‘adult entertainment permit’ had been received for Townsville’s historic Exchange Hotel.
Exchange owner Greg Rains said he and Michael O’Keefe had sold the establishment to a southern consortium who signed a 30 year lease earlier this month. The group includes Brett Thorne and Graham Laird, who currently run adult entertainment bars in Mackay and Brisbane.
Mr Rains and Mr O’Keefe bought the Exchange for $2.7million in 2008 and undertook a multi-million dollar refurbishment last year.
