Annual day out With the Ponies Raises Money for Mater
The RAAS Group was again host to around 180 invited guests from the management rights, motels and the associated professions for the 8th annual RAAS Management Rights & Motels Race Day on 9 October.
Guests and co –sponsors Archers Body Corporate, ANZ; Hynes Lawyers; EBM Insurance and Holmans Accountants enjoyed a brilliant day of racing and socialising at Caloundra’s Sunshine Coast Turf Club at Corbould Park. There were nine races run on the day with the usual mix of big wins and close losses.
RAAS Group managing director Geoff Glanville said, “We are so proud of the fact that our annual race day has become such an entrenched success. We now have managers attending from Gold Coast to 
Edward & Susan Grzyb from Eco ParkHervey bay and many made a long weekend of the event.
We we have partnered with The Mater Foundation for fundraising and an unusual Prestige Raffle raised over $1000.”
Winner of the major prize of a week’s holiday at Hervey Bay was Geoff Glanville who selflessly redrew the prize with the ultimate winner being Sam Hodgetts of McAdam Seimon.
The event has again proved the ideal opportunity for husband and wife management teams to get out and socialise, be in the draw to win thousands of dollars of prizes and to have a flutter on the ponies. Mr Glanville expects next year’s event to again be held in October and urges people to get their tickets early as the event inevitably books out quickly.
