First Darwin charter flights from China
Darwin will see the first charter flights from China to the NT arrive in January.
They’re part of a major 10 week campaign to promote the Northern Territory in Guangzhou, Shenzen, Shanghai and Beijing.
Tourism NT and Tourism Australia have partnered with Chinese wholesaler Yueqiao Travel who have created a range of packages for Chinese New Year. Chinese visitors can choose from several itineraries that will have stops at Uluru, Watarrka/Kings Canyon, Alice Springs or Darwin.
The campaign involves newspaper, elevator and online advertising, as well as extensive training and sales activities with hundreds of retail travel agencies across China, targeting second-time visitors to Australia.
