Melissa Bent reports, “Thanks to Mark Glancy from D-Tec for giving an informative talk on bed bugs and also to our guests, Sandy Sneddon and her husband Ian who take the leukaemia patients and parents out every Wednesday night in Brisbane for dinner. Sandy thanked us for our support, tickets to SeaWorld, Currumbin are putting on a night this Saturday for the families as well and Palazzo Versace have also given me a complimentary high tea for a patient to use as well. Dreamworld also let me take a family to their breast cancer breakfast last month and they stayed in the park for the day.”

Ken Holmes from Currumbin updated SEQPHA on the koala situation and told members that over the years the association has contributed over $5000 to koalas.
