Free workshop: How to run a small accommodation business in Australia

Still thinking about that lifestyle change, but not quite sure what to expect and if you are suitable? Or are you struggling with your existing accommodation business?

Nori Hasenbein, the owner of Villa della Rosa B&B on Tamborine Mountain, Gold Coast Hinterland, has developed a brand new, hands-on workshop, running over a 4 or 6 day period and covering all aspects of running a bed and breakfast, cottages or a small hotel/motel. Tutoring is on a one on one basis and topics covered include everything from marketing, maintenance, safety, cooking etc, to personal traits, sales techniques and choosing the right business. For more details on the diverse range of topics covered visit:

The basics of a lot of the modules apply to all small businesses, so even if you end up deciding not to run your own hosted accommodation, you will still learn a lot of valuable lessons. If you ever needed a reason to book a holiday, this is it! The 4 or 6 day packages include overnight accommodation, breakfasts and dinners, with all the workshop sessions and materials thrown in for free!

So, if you ever toyed with the idea of running your own accommodation business, try to take some time off and let Nori from Villa della Rosa spoil you at her tranquil B&B, while teaching you some great new skills and helping you decide on your future.

Why not just buy a book? You might have bought already a whole heap of books and have ‘tortured’ google to find out everything there is to know about hosted accommodation businesses, but there is no better way of learning this business than experiencing it first hand and getting targeted advice tailored to your specific circumstances. No book will actually help you setting up a facebook page or writing a manual with you or showing you how to make perfect poached eggs every single time.

There is no other workshop in Australia that will give you in depth theoretical business fundamentals, one-on-one fully tailored coaching and a holiday. And all you pay for is the holiday! And it’s a great holiday, too.

Be part of the fastest growth sector in Australian tourism and learn how to be efficient and successful. Fulfil your dream of a more relaxed lifestyle today.

Nori started her working life as a lab rat – working at the Research School for Biological Sciences at the Australian University in Canberra. After a severe bout of arthritis she changed careers and helped her husband run 2 large retail stores for 10 years. Her main focus during that time was accounting and staff training. After Nori and her husband both found that the stress of running retails stores was getting too much, they decided to opt out of city life and go for a tree change. Running a B&B sounded like the perfect way to finish off their business life and ease into retirement.
