Turtle Beach Resort to merge with Turtle Bay
Popular Gold Coast family resort, Turtle Beach, is expanding to include the adjacent Turtle Bay Resort, following the recent acquisition of these management rights. The move will increase the resort to over 400 rooms, with both properties accessible by the street frontage on the Gold Coast Highway at Mermaid Beach.
The merge comes after the recent multi-million dollar upgrade to the facilities at Turtle Beach Resort, including a million dollar water park, kid’s club and onsite restaurant and bar.
The upgraded resort’s facilities include: Million dollar Splash Zone waterpark; Four separate swimming areas including lagoon pools, wading pools and spas; Two children’s outdoor playgrounds; Club Turtle Kids Club (ages 4 – 12); 15 hole putt putt golf; Full size tennis court; Chelonia Day Spa and fitness room; Games rooms and 22 seat cinema; Deck Restaurant and bar, located onsite; Nine BBQ and entertainment areas; Complementary Wi-Fi across the resort; Onsite Tour Desk for theme park bookings, tickets and airport transfers.
Works will commence in the coming months to facilitate the joining of the properties, with completion scheduled for early 2015.
