Marriott Bonvoy celebrates Barty win

Champion looks forward to fulfilling ambassador role for next two years

Playing its part in brand ambassador Ash Barty’s history-making win at the Australian Open, Marriott Bonvoy joined in the celebrations hosting a suite of the country’s top chefs, sporting talent, celebrities, and Marriott Bonvoy members and guests at Melbourne Park on Saturday evening.

Congratulating Ash on her achievement, Marriott International, Area Vice President Australia, New Zealand & Pacific, Sean Hunt said along with the rest of country, the company was incredibly proud of her outstanding achievement and honoured to be working with Ash, who joined as an ambassador last year.

“We have had a truly spectacular two weeks at Melbourne Park,” Mr Hunt said.

“As the official hotel partner for the Australian Summer of Tennis, we have been hosting a range of guests throughout the tournament at our authentically Australian themed hospitality suite.

“The atmosphere throughout the two weeks has been electric as our guests witnessed the world’s top players going head-to-head. We couldn’t have asked for a greater finish to the women’s singles, with Marriott Ambassador Ash Barty taking the coveted title.”

Marriott welcomed a number of Australia’s culinary elite into their Marriott Bonvoy suite including Spencer Patrick, W Melbourne’s Lollo chef Adam D’Sylva, Guy Grossi, Jacqui Challinor, Jerry Mai, Raymond Capaldi, Matt Preston, and radio host Kyle Sandilands and fiancé, Tegan Kynaston along with key stakeholders, Marriott Bonvoy members and guests.

Joining Marriott International last November, Ash said the company had been extraordinarily welcoming.

“I look forward to continuing our relationship over the next two years and having the opportunity to experience the range of Marriott properties and their first-class hospitality as I hit the international tennis circuit this year,” she said.

Over the summer of tennis, Marriott Bonvoy members have been able to access more than 120 unique Marriott Bonvoy MomentsTM, giving them exclusive access to money-can’t-buy events and experiences, including iconic trophy photo opportunities, premium viewing across all rounds including the grand finals and meeting with sporting legends such as Todd Woodbridge and Sam Groth as they dropped into the Marriott Bonvoy Hospitality Suite.
