Spotlight on NZ business events industry this November
This year the inaugural Business Event Awards - The Bizzies 2025 - are being held at the same time as the BEIA Conference on November 26.
Registrations are now open for this year’s Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) 2025 Conference set for Cordis Auckland on November 26 and 27.
Preceded by the Business Events Expo and coinciding with The Bizzies awards night, the BEIA Conference is set to attract the who’s who of New Zealand’s conference, incentives and business events industry for two days of knowledge sharing, networking, and celebration in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
This year the inaugural Business Event Awards – The Bizzies 2025 – are being held at the same time as the BEIA Conference on November 26. Supported by BEIA, the awards will be held biennially to celebrate excellence, innovation, and impact across individuals and events.

Anyone with an interest in business events is welcome to register for both Conference 2025 and The Bizzies. Ticket sales for The Bizzies opened last week and demand is already high for the industry’s night of nights.
BEIA Chief Executive, Lisa Hopkins says New Zealand’s business events industry is in for a huge week, with an inspiring programme of education, collaboration, and valuable networking opportunities.
“This is the ideal time for all of our industry to come together, as New Zealand enters a new era for business events. We have much to celebrate, discuss, and learn,” she says.
“We are excited to be collaborating with the Business Events Expo and boosting networking opportunities by combining the BEIA Conference Welcome Function and BE Expo finale at Viaduct Events Centre on Tuesday 25 November,” she says.
This year’s conference programme is designed to empower delegates with the knowledge, insights, and practical skills needed to drive both organisational and industry-wide success into the future.
“It is packed with relevant, actionable content with insights on a range of topics including experience design, the economic outlook, AI and the role of technology in the future of our industry as well as the promotion of personal wellbeing and the strengthening of workplace culture with conversations on menopause, managing imposter syndrome, and insights on the future of a Gen Z dominated workplace,” Hopkins says.
After the conference, delegates are encouraged to stay on in the host city and spend Thursday afternoon, 27 November sampling some of the activities available in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland with exclusive discounts for BEIA Conference delegates.
“We are keen for organisations across the business events sector, BEIA Members, event organisers, clients, or those exploring this industry as part of their future business mix to attend Conference 2025 as a team, not only to share the experience, but also to cover more sessions and absorb a broader range of insights.”
BEIA members can save on conference registration fees by registering two or more delegates from one organisation to receive a 10% discount per registration on top of Earlybird rates, which end on October 14.
