Minor Hotels sharpens growth agenda for 2026 after record year of signings
Expects to secure a further 25 signings in the first quarter of 2026, supported by strong owner demand and its largest pipeline to date.
Minor Hotels has outlined its growth strategy for 2026 following a record year of development activity that saw the group sign 40 new hotel contracts and master agreements globally in 2025, its highest annual total to date.
The hotel owner and operator expects to secure a further 25 signings in the first quarter of 2026, supported by strong owner demand and its largest pipeline to date. With a global portfolio of more than 640 properties, the group said the year ahead will mark a new phase of growth focused on portfolio diversification and capital-efficient, asset-light expansion.

Australia remains an important market for Minor Hotels, which currently operates more than 60 properties nationwide, primarily under the Oaks and Avani brands. As part of its broader global strategy, the group has also flagged plans to extend luxury portfolio growth into Australia.
“The pace of recent signings reflects strong owner confidence in our brands and platform,” said Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International. “By increasing our focus on management agreements and franchising, we can scale with discipline while maintaining close alignment to hotel performance and brand standards.”
Branded residences remain a core growth pillar, with around 20 per cent of the group’s total pipeline incorporating a residential component. Minor Hotels is also preparing to launch its first standalone branded residence project in 2026.

To support its expansion agenda, Minor International is progressing plans for a hotel real estate investment trust (REIT), expected to list in mid-2026. The proposed REIT is intended to recycle capital from mature assets while retaining long-term operating and brand relationships.
Minor Hotels said its 2026 strategy is designed to strengthen resilience and long-term value across its global portfolio as travel demand continues to evolve.
