The Mayfair Hotel Christchurch joins global Leng’s Collection portfolio
Christchurch's Mayfair Hotel becomes the first Millennium Hotels and Resorts boutique property in the Southern Hemisphere
Millennium Hotels and Resorts, a Singapore-headquartered global hospitality group, has announced that The Mayfair Hotel Christchurch has officially joined Leng’s Collection, its curated portfolio of distinctive boutique hotels.
The hotels in Leng’s Collection are each defined by a singular sense of place and a story deeply rooted in its destination, Millennium Hotels and Resorts said.

Leng’s Collection represents Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ growing portfolio of boutique properties designed for travellers seeking individuality, character and authentic connections to place. The addition of The Mayfair marks the first Southern Hemisphere property in the collection and the fifth addition globally, alongside destinations including London, Liverpool, Rome and Anchorage.

Located on vibrant Victoria Street, The Mayfair is a 67-room boutique hotel known for its refined design, considered service and strong local identity, placing guests at the heart of Christchurch’s cultural and lifestyle precinct.

Since opening in July 2022, the hotel has built a strong reputation within Christchurch’s boutique hospitality scene, earning accolades including TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Award 2024, Best Café of the Year 2024 at the Hospitality New Zealand Business Awards for Majestic at Mayfair Café, and being highly commended in 2025 at the Hotel Management Awards Aotearoa-Pacific in both Best Boutique Hotel and Best Upscale Hotel categories.
