Quest Apartment Hotels named Franchisor of the Year
The win follows a strong run of recognition, with a strong showing in Tripadvisor's 2026 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Quest Apartment Hotels has capped off a strong run of recognition by winning three categories at the Franchising Council of Australia’s 2026 Industry Awards, including the top honour of Franchisor of the Year. This latest win follows multiple placements for Quest in Tripadvisor’s 2026 Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best.
As well as Franchisor of the Year, Quest won two of its five nominations in total, also taking out the titles of Franchisor of the Year (51+ units), and Excellence in Equality, Sustainability and Governance, the brand’s second consecutive win in that category.

Two additional finalists from the Quest network, Adam and Allison French, owners of Quest Ipswich, Quest Springfield Central and Quest Woolooware Bay, for Franchise of the Year – Multi-unit Hospitality, and Brad Sammut for Franchise Field Manager of the Year.
The win follows Quest’s strong showing in Tripadvisor’s 2026 Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best, where six of Australia’s top 10 hotels were Quest properties, with five located outside capital-city CBDs.
Quest now operates more than 160 properties across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, under a franchise model now also being used to bring Ascott’s Citadines, Oakwood and lyf brands into the Australian market.
David Mansfield, Managing Director, The Ascott Limited, Australasia:, said: “Being named Franchisor of the Year, on top of the recognition we’ve had from Tripadvisor this year, tells us the model is working at every level – for guests, for our franchise partners and for the communities they operate in. This isn’t down to one property or one good year. It reflects the consistency of our network of franchise partners backing the Quest model with their own hard work and investment, day in and day.”
