Rizza Timbol named NSW Housekeeper of the Year
The Comfort Resort Leura Gardens leader says the honour reflects the importance of inclusive leadership
The best of New South Wales’ accommodation sector was celebrated at the 2026 Accommodation Australia NSW Awards for Excellence, with properties, hospitality venues and industry professionals recognised for outstanding service, innovation and leadership.
Among the individual winners was Comfort Resort Leura Gardens’ Rizza Timbol, who was named Housekeeper of the Year and credited people-first leadership, a supportive workplace culture and strong professional mentorship for her success.
For Ms Timbol, the recognition reflects the inclusive and person-centred leadership approach she has embraced throughout her career.

“Winning this award is both an honour and a reflection of the leadership approach I have chosen to embrace throughout my career. I have found this leadership style to be highly effective in bringing out the strengths, engagement, and productivity of an entire hotel team, particularly within Housekeeping, our largest department.
“This recognition reinforces my belief that when people feel valued, supported, and included, they can achieve outstanding results together.”
That people-first philosophy also shapes Ms Timbol’s experience at Comfort Resort Leura Gardens, where she values the relationships formed across the property and the team’s shared commitment to its guests.
