Two Australian hotels named among Tripadvisor’s best in the world
The annual 'Best of the Best' title recognises the highest level of excellence in travel
Brisbane’s Emporium Hotel South Bank and The Reef House Adults Retreat Palm Cove have been recognised among the world’s top hotels in Tripadvisor’s latest Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best.
Emporium Hotel South Bank was ranked 21st globally, while The Reef House Adults Retreat Palm Cove in Far North Queensland took out 22nd place.

The annual Best of the Best title recognises the highest level of excellence in travel, based on a high volume of positive reviews and opinions submitted by the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period.

According to Tripadvisor, fewer than one percent of its eight million listings receive the accolade.
Emporium Hotel South Bank was praised by travellers for its stylish rooms, attentive service and central Brisbane location, along with its rooftop terrace and pool, spa facilities and rooftop bar.

The luxury property holds a 4.8 out of five rating on Tripadvisor, based on almost 1500 reviews.
The Reef House Adults Retreat Palm Cove was recognised for its relaxed adults-only offering, beachside location and personalised guest experiences.
The Palm Cove property features two pools, a spa and on-site dining, with Tripadvisor highlighting touches including complimentary sorbet and cocktails as part of the guest experience.
The Reef House has a 4.7 out of five rating based on more than 3200 reviews.
Indonesia’s GH Universal Hotel Bandung claimed the number one position in the global ranking, followed by Hotel Colline de France in Brazil and Hotel Sporting Family Hospitality in Italy.
